Regret 003; [Action]

[Yet another child of around six or seven is wandering around your streets tonight Luceti. Thankfully, this one is at least dressed for the occasion. He keeps glancing this way and that, getting more frantic as the minutes pass. Just.. just a moment ago, he'd been with his mommy and daddy. He knew enough to know that he was most certainly lost and lost was a very scary thing to be in the dark. Why wasn't his sister here?! He... he was going to find them before it got too dark, right?!

He's a bit too shy to just approach people normally, but he's starting to get desperate. If anyone bothers to pay any attention to him, he just might drag up the courage to ask for a bit of help. Even if it's from strangers.]

D-... Daddy...? Daddy, where are you?

[This one is neither!

It talks.

Hello.

[...well, that was better than running away outright, at least. The bat tilts her head down at him, but doesn't move otherwise.]

Are you all right?

I'm a special bat.

[She also has red eyes and diminutive filial wings on her back, folded up and useless.]

That's amazing! Can you do other amazing things?!

[The bat glances over at the boy's shoulder--where an identical bat has appeared. Another materializes on first his left knee, another on the right. Four vaguely fuzzy things!]

[The bat in question doesn't move away; in fact, it reaches its head out as if expecting to be petted. It's fluffy.]

It's just something that I can do.

[Action] Html likes to be difficult and hide.

Are there lots of bats like you?

[Action] CONSISTENCY WHAT'S THAT D8

[identity profile] there-were-none.livejournal.com 2010-11-30 06:25 pm (UTC)(link)
[The bat chitters happily under the boy's hand--and draws somewhat jealous looks from its fellows, save for the one still hovering and talking.]

...I haven't seen any recently, no.

[Actually, the last one was her sister!...but that's kind of a sore subject for this particular Flandre.]

[Action] I THINK IT HAS SOMETHING TO DO WITH SUGAR

[identity profile] tinyiris.livejournal.com 2010-12-01 06:56 pm (UTC)(link)
So you're the only one?

[Action] WHAT REALLY

[identity profile] there-were-none.livejournal.com 2010-12-01 08:06 pm (UTC)(link)
[Now everyone is happy. Good end!]

That I'm aware of.

[The hovering bat tilts her head slightly now.]

This is no place for a child.

[Action] YES! IT MUST BE! 8D

[identity profile] tinyiris.livejournal.com 2010-12-01 08:08 pm (UTC)(link)
Mmm. Maybe. But, I dunno how to get home.

I... I don't know... What is this town called?

[Action] FFFF

[identity profile] there-were-none.livejournal.com 2010-12-02 06:10 pm (UTC)(link)
I have heard others call it Luceti.

...a road-sign or two would be nice, though.

[Action] ...? 8D

[identity profile] tinyiris.livejournal.com 2010-12-05 05:11 am (UTC)(link)
I... I don't remember a place called Luceti.

[Action]

[identity profile] there-were-none.livejournal.com 2010-12-05 08:48 pm (UTC)(link)
That makes two of us, I suppose.

[She looks down at the other bats almost speculatively.]

...or five, if those were not fragments of myself.

[Action]

[identity profile] tinyiris.livejournal.com 2010-12-05 08:59 pm (UTC)(link)
They're fragments of you?

[Action]

[identity profile] there-were-none.livejournal.com 2010-12-05 09:17 pm (UTC)(link)
Yes. As long as I don't exceed my total mass, I believe.

[The hovering bat shimmers, briefly disappears--and in its place is a rather tall blonde woman in a red coat who is not at all batlike in appearance. The only connection is the eyes, which are the same shade of red. The other bats remain precisely where and as they are.

She's also crouching, as she is Very Tall and would probably tower over the boy otherwise.
]

I look like this most of the time.
