[Zan'nen hasn't been feeling well the past few days. In fact, tonight he's feeling quite ill. Trying not to wake his roommate, Zan'nen leaves the apartment and heads outside to the square in the hopes that the cool night air will clear his head. It's too bad he doesn't make it there.

Zan'nen collapses behind the bakery. Sorry to interrupt your good night's sleep Luceti, but there will be a long anguished scream of pain disrupting you shortly.]

So, basically, Zan'nen gets to experience all the lovely feelings of your body transforming into something else while he's conscious. Canonically, when a Human turns into an Auria, it's messy business. Including such lovely things as throwing up your old organs and growing new ones. Quickly, of course. Else he'd be dead. 8|

When it's over, Zan'nen will have a new pair of large black wings to join his traditional Luceti ones, and dark green leaves located both on his wrists and behind his ears. You may see some odd flickering of strange markings appearing on his skin once in a while if you speak to him as well, but these are pretty much hidden naturally.

[When the event concludes, Zan'nen will wake up his old, boring, human self again.]

[He sits back up and goes to reach for Zan'nen before stopping and staring in horror at the violent coughing and blood and.....

[healing magic isn't working.... he's coughing up something that's solid and looks like flesh.

It's too chancy to move him. He'd never seen something like this. Pulling out his journal, he tries to reassure Zan'nen.] I'll call a doctor, don't move. Just hold on.

[Frey tugs at his hand, gently though, confused as to why he was grabbing him.] Zan'nen, let go. I need to call someone.

No... Help. No...

[Thanks to Zan'nen reaching for the journal, he does see them. For just a second, Kaori comes to mind. Would she know what it was? It seemed like the ones she had.... maybe...and He didn't want help, but why?] If not a doctor, Can I call Kaori?

[If not, surely she could convince him to get help. She knew him better, afterall.]

[There's no reason to try calling her over the journal, Frey. You may notice the sudden shriek of hatred quickly coming from behind, because... there was a Human near him. A Human had witnessed the transformation of an Auria, risking the newborn's life. Her own freedom was already stolen by a Human in the village, she would not allow the same for this person that she just vaguely recognized as.... Rikuto.

In her rage she draws one of her knives, putting as much force as she could into it once she's close enough to Frey to drive it into his back. It was only her relationship, her own bond with the prince that keeps it from being a fatal wound, a rather weak job to what she was usually capable of. Even in her rage, she couldn't hurt Freyjadour, a Human who had unfortunately been kind to her, a good master and big brother...

Once that deed is done she throws herself onto Zan'nen, intent on protecting him as her two pairs of natural wings came forward to try to shield him from view. And looking toward Frey with that hatred she felt for his species burning in her eyes.]

Fr.. Frey...?

[Frey goes to turn around to face the shriek, but isn't fast enough- The knife is driving into his back before he can fully turn to face her. When he does see her face, he's shocked and horrified, though that doesn't stop the stifled scream that escapes his throat as the knife digs in deep and he falls to the ground.] K-Kaori.......? Why......?

Stay away from him![Her only focus right now is to protect Zan'nen, to make sure he got through this process okay. She can't do anything to stop him from vomiting blood and flesh, but she could provide her presence as one of his kin. That alone should ease some of his pain.

Frey's lucky that he is who he is. Any other person she would likely be intent to kill them, for risking Zan'nen's life.] What did you do...?

FREY?!

He didn't do anything!

[Frey gasps, gritting his teeth against the pain. It wasn't as deep as it could be... but it was still bleeding profusely.] I.... was only trying to get him medical attention....

[Scrambling to think, he realizes that, maybe, Kaori still knew something about this.] I didn't hurt him... please help him....

[Rather than pushing away Zan'nen when he began to vomit again, Kaori pulled him closer, paying no mind to the blood and chunks of flesh that made it onto her person. Resting her hand on his head and just trying to remain as calm as possible, despite the anger she still felt that a Human was witnessing Zan'nen's transforming. All the while she is trying to do a mental evaluation of his condition, brow furrowing as she read further.]

... You healed him... [It wasn't even a question; while her voice is soft and hushed, there was a hint of accusation there. Had Zan'nen asked to be healed...? Perhaps it was for the better, the sooner he finished the sooner she could get him somewhere safe.]

D-....Did I hurt him? [The look in his eyes is a storm of many emotions: pain, confusion, wariness, concern. he doesn't understand what's going on but Zan'nen was hurt and Kaori was upset and.... oh runes he's getting dizzy. He needed to heal himself before he lost much more blood, but he's not sure how Kaori would react to that.]

[That would depend on how you define 'healing' in this situation. If that means speeding up the process so he could finish and recover more quickly, then yes, he healed him just fine.

Though... that wave of emotions from Frey is catching her off guard, it makes her hesitate just a little more from the lashing out she did earlier.] ... How long...?
