[So some of you may remember a grumpy, quiet, sulky kid that sometimes wanders around the place, right? Well, whatever stick was up his ass seems to have been recently removed, because today Zan'nen's all smiles and greetings. He's quite intent to say hello to everyone today, whether he knows them or not.

No matter what you're doing or where you are, Zan'nen wants to chat. And hey, you look nice enough, (yes even you,) the two of you should be friends. Right now. Yes. You want help carrying that? What are you doing today? Need help with anything? He's your man.

And after all the fun around town, he heads back to grab his journal and talk some more.]

Hey Luceti! How is everyone? And I really do mean everyone. In fact, there's a lot of people I haven't even introduced myself to. I've been here a while, so that's kind of dumb, right?

Well, let's change that. I'm Zan'nen, and it's very nice to meet all of you! We should talk or go out or... I don't know, anything really. We're all stuck here, so why we shouldn't we get to know each other? Sounds fun to me anyway.

Speaking of which, how's my old 'family'? Frey? Kaori? Ceo? I haven't really checked in with any of you recently, have I? How about those guys I went to that party with? That was fun! We should do it again sometime! Anyone free right now? I'm tired of being cooped up all the time.

(ooc: Zan'nen's affect for this event is that he is now super friendly, rather than aloof and grumpy. He is literally up for anything involving fun and friendshipy-ness, so go far it!)

[Frey's eating lunch outside in the plaza today, so Zan'nen might run into him. Nevermind the fact he's wearing a neon purple shirt, skinny jeans, and sandals.]

[Zan'nen spots Frey's blinding purple shirt a mile away. ~~Who couldn't?~~ It actually takes him a moment before Frey's odd fashion statement sinks in enough for Zan'nen to form a proper sentence. But hey! It's Frey, and he and Frey are buddies right? They should hang out more. Now seems like a good time.]

Oi, Frey! [Excited waving goes here.] What's with the outfit?

[Frey looks up, then pauses in confusion at the excited wave. Zan'nen seems awfully cheerful today.]

Hello..... Um, what do you mean?

You're dressed- [How should he put it exactly? "Bad" would be obvious. And a bit rude, and he didn't want this to devolve into a fight after two sentences.] -different than usual. Did someone steal your clothes or what?

Talkative today, aren't we?

I guess so. I mean, I haven't really thought about it or anything. It just sort of comes out, which I guess is a bit odd considering that I--[Hey! It's Winry! Why was he babbling?]

Oh! Winry! It's you! What are you up to?

I'm actually at the beach.

The beach? That sounds like fun. I'd almost forgotten there was one here. [Maybe he'd go check it out himself, but then again, the beach was hot, and heat was icky... and he'd probably burn...]

Can you swim, Winry?

Of course I can! We had a lake not too far into the woods to swim in back home. Why do you ask?

Well... You did say we were supposed to get to know each other again... and stuff. I was curious.

That's all right. I just don't know the point of going to the beach if you don't know how to swim... or if you aren't going to learn.

Sunbathing is apparently popular. You just go down to the beach and lay there. Sounds boring to me.

I'm sure that could be relaxing for a while, but not the whole time.

Not to mention you'd get fried.

They make sunblock for that.

[Sunblock. Right. He needs to buy some of that.] Well, anyway, are you at the beach all by yourself?

Not at all! I've got a few close friends with me. You should come next time.

[Much the same situation as Winry and... oh jeez. She actually just laughs into the journal for now]

[Zan'nen pauses for a moment. He doesn't really recognize the laugh, but it sounded like she was having fun, who ever it was.]

Hey, what's so funny? [It's said with a tone that's honestly curious, not the usual accusatory manner. Whatever the joke was, he wanted in on it.]

You! You're hilarious!

[With a bit more spluttering laugh here]

I am? [That's... odd. He doesn't really know what he's doing, but if she's enjoying herself, what the hell?]

Umm. How so, exactly?

You just are! [OH GOD MORE LAUGHING. She doesn't even know him well but she knows this is priceless]

[That voice...] Oh. Is this Haruhi?

[Haruhi was laughing at him? Somehow that's not a surprise... At least she wasn't mad at him this time.]

It's weirding me out! And everybody else is acting totally off too. It has to be an experiment, but no one seems to care in the least! Doesn't it bother them?!

I didn't mean to weird you out. I just wanted to do something with someone for once. If it bothers you, I could go ask someone else... [Angry today, aren't we Marica?]

I don't mind! Just as long as you're not bothered that you'll probably look back on this later and regret everything!

I regret a lot of things, so I guess it's not that big of a deal if I do or don't.

... W-Well, I guess that sounds a bit more like yourself, but now it's just kinda depressing. Whatever! Let's go do something!

Yeah... I'm... not the most cheerful of people. But hey, maybe that means it's wearing off. [Shrug. Although that statement was perhaps a bit too cheerful to sound convincing.]

What do you want to do? Is there anything you've done back home that you haven't in a while?

Let's see... Sometimes I'd go hunting and do chores that needed to be done, but those'd be more or less pointless here. We'd spar and stuff too, but I don't know how you are with weapons.
