Regret 008; [Action - Afternoon]

[Good afternoon Luceti, it’s a beautiful day isn’t? There’s nothing that could ruin this lovely day in the square. Absolutely nothing, am I right?

Not even the giant, mountain of six-foot tall, icky, mud-colored slump of sludge trying to worm it’s way to the center. Or that absolutely foul smell that seems to be emanating from it. The creature, whoever or whatever it is, is lurching towards the fountain, leaving a trail of the oily, thick substance behind it. It doesn’t seem to be able to talk, and when it tries, there’s the faint sound of sputtering, coughing, and perhaps a bit of gagging going on deep in it’s center.

Unfortunately, there’s not enough water in the fountain to wash all of that scum away. Care to lend a hand, citizens?]

[ooc: Zan’nen’s come back from his kidnapping cosplaying as a Grimer! Just kidding. (Although that’s a simple way to put it.) He’s come back covered in nasty, sticky sludge. It’s not poisonous, although the smell is terrible. It’s layered on so thick, he’s about twice his normal thickness, and quite a few inches taller. It also tastes terrible... Eww. ]

[Said tiny charge is clinging to Frey's hand, like she has been ever since Mithos came by their house all sad. She needed that emotional comfort and closeness! And taking walks was nice, but the plaza had been starting to smell really funny after a while, and it was starting to hurt her nose...!

Then Frey calls her attention to that... thing in the center of the plaza, which of course makes her shriek and cling to Frey's legs tightly enough that he could lose his balance. What in the Sorrows was that thing?!] Mister Frey!

[The shrill shriek makes the thing turn his head towards the noise, for a moment, it ambles towards the noises, sputtering and gagging, then shakes it's big head, (sending splatters of muck everywhere) and resumes the trek towards the fountain.

It was gross in here, dammit.]

Ah-! Don't worry, Just stay close to me. [stepping in front of Kaori and gripping his weapon, eyeing the blob warily. Is it some sort of monster?]

[Who cares if it's some sort of monster it smells!!]

[Okay, now that is definitely a familiar voice. The blob turns what we assume to be it's head again, and sharply lurches for the pair.

He's damn sure that's you, Frey. Help him~!]

[POKING THE THING WITH HIS WEAPON not attacking just yet, aren't you lucky Zan'nen?]

[Well while you're poking it Frey, Kaori has decided that she is going to be her usual curious self and RUN STRAIGHT INTO IT.]

[The weapon comes into contact with something solid inside, and the thing jumps. That hurts, whatever it is, and the giant pile of sludge begins to shudder and shake as the boy inside coughs. Then he's pushed back by something tiny and full of force. Frey, what are you doing to him?

He doesn't know what the hell is going on here, but it doesn't feel good. Blob-man is on the retreat, heading straight back towards the fountain. Kaori may or may not be accidentally stuck going with him.]

Kaori! [Chasing after them! He doesn't count on slipping on some of the leftover slime trailing him, though, and ends up sliding straight into the blob and prehaps sending them all into the fountain.]

[Meanwhile, there is a bewildered child sinking further into that icky, disgusting, gross sludge, which will clearly not come off with just a splash into the fountain. Great, you're going to get all of them stuck here, Frey. :|]

[THANK THE GODS WATER AT LAST. Too bad it doesn't seem to be washing anything off at all, or at least very much of it. In fact, the only thing it seems to be doing is turning all of the water in the fountain a disgusting brown-ish color. Lovely.

Still, Zan'nen's trying to flail around wildly. Anything to get this junk off of him. Anything.]

[Frey's flailing and trying to find Kaori, grabbing her and trying to dig her out of that disgusting sludge- ..... weird, he felt like he just kneed someone in the gut?]

[Tackling the strange things is not working, and now it smells even more. This is Kaori coughing because dammit Zan'nen you need a shower.] Mister Frey!

[And with that knee to the gut, Zan'nen falls face first into the water. You managed to knock the breath right out of him. Which was great for Zan'nen, because, you know, inhaling that thick disgusting substance was totally the way to go. He definitely recommends you try it Frey.

At least now they can collect themselves without the sludge knocking about into them.]

[No thanks, he didn't think he'd enjoy it much. Zan'nen can feel free to do what he wants with it, though, as Frey finally manages to mostly dig Kaori out of the slime and goes to lift her out of it.]

[Kaori is clinging to Frey like a TINY LEECH, peeking back at the slobbering mess of goo.

[Thank you Kaori. At least someone finally noticed. Zan'nen will just be underneath this mess, trying his hardest to breathe.

He pushes himself up from the water, and claws at his face, trying to force open a path that will allow him actual fresh air.]

What?! A person? [Oh runes what. They might suffocate!

Diving back in, stinky as it is, and digging at the pile.]

[While Frey is digging in Kaori plops onto the ground, slimy ooze coming off of her as she chews her lip in worry. Would the Human be okay?]

[I hope you're watching those nails of yours Frey, because Zan'nen doesn't want to see what sort of infection would come from this mess.

With the two of them working together, they just might make a hole big enough for Zan'nen to breathe through, as noted by a big gasp.

Oh air, Zan'nen will never complain about you again. He loves you air. Stinky, disgusting... air. Was that smell him?]

But oh wow, there really is a person in there. He picks up the pace, trying to at least free their face from this muck.] Hang on, ok? We'll get you out....

That is why Kaori is pinching her nose and trying to hold her breath as she runs over~ to see what was happening, because pulling bishis out of disgusting goo is cool. :|b]

[Zan'nen reaches forward and clutches at Frey's shoulders, trying to pull himself up from the fountain.]

How-... how? [He erupts in coughs again. Sludge is not something one wants in your lungs.]

Knows that voice. gripping the other's hands through all the muck, he works on helping him up.] Zan'nen?

Zan'nen, what in the world is this?

[Meanwhile, Kaori is staring at the two with wide eyes and an otherwise unreadable expression. She'd never seen this man before, but she knew him.]

Rikuto! [Now she's digging into the muck to try to help him escape, going as fast as her little hands are capable of.]
